What is Your Dream?

I have a question for you.

What is your dream?

Everyone is unique. We all have our own life experiences, gifts, talents, difficulties, pains, hurts, strengths, weaknesses and desires. We have our own set of DNA that determines the essence of our being and character. Even if you really wanted to be, you could never be someone else, because only you can be.. well, you.

Think about cups for a second. There are so many different kinds of cups: mugs, coffee shot cups, glass cups, paper cups, plastic cups, bone china cups, tea cups.. the list goes on right? Although every different cup basically exists for the same function - of holding some substance - the purposes are different. And only when they are doing whatever they were made to do, will they reach their optimum achievement. It just wouldn't make sense if the tea cup suddenly wished it could be a glass cup, after seeing how the glass cup is bigger, thicker, and you could see through it. At the same time, a paper cup just wouldn't be right at an event for the Royal Family, no matter how much it wanted to be a bone china cup.

It just does not make sense to compare yourself with another person. That person, whether they are the most successful person around you, with great happenings in their life and continuous achievement, was made completely different from you. They have their calling and destiny. You have your own calling and destiny, beautiful and unique and more valuable than any other - why? Because there is no one else like you.

At the end of the day, it's not about the money, fame or success. Those are empty promises and don't speak anything about what kind of life you've lived. You could have all the money in the world but not have left a positive influence or mark. It's about whether you have fulfilled the purpose for which you were made. The deepest desire that is hidden deep down inside of your heart and soul. That which you know you will never feel completely fulfilled without having done. Oh, yes. If you stop and search, if you ask God, you will find it. It has always been there inside of you.

So then.. What is your dream?

I think we should never stop dreaming. We should dream with our eyes open. We should desire for something much greater than ourselves.

Dare to dream. Big dreams. Dreams that scare you and make you feel nervous. Dreams that are impossible to achieve by yourself, but are possible through Christ, in whom all things are possible.

"A dream doesn't drive you; it draws you. It is like a big magnet that pulls you toward itself."
"If your dream doesn't scare you, it's not big enough."

"Dream big, work hard, and never give up."
